Your Participation in our Fundraising Efforts are Needed

Androscoggin Valley Soil and Water Conservation District receives 17% of its operating budget from Androscoggin and Sagadahoc Counties and the Maine Department of Agriculture.  The remaining 83% comes from grants, fundraising sales or charitable contributions from individuals, local businesses or organizations. Though we are not a government agency, we enjoy an in-kind relationship with the USDA/NRCS in that we receive building space in return for limited service to them.  Donations are welcomed.  AVSWCD is a not-for-profit quasi-state agency classified as a Section 501(C)1 organization and as such, any donations or gifts to the Conservation District qualify as charitable contributions under IRS Code 170(C)1 and may be tax deductible as such on the donor’s income tax return  Please consult with your tax advisor regarding specific circumstances surrounding your own tax situation.
