The Conservation District is aware that prices for our fundraising sales will go up in cost for 2009. We want to offer a special deal on our 2009 Compost Bin Package, retailed at a value over $125. The package will be available for pick up in the spring and includes a compost bin, kitchen scrap pail and wingdigger (compost turner) for a cost of $80 if ordered and prepaid before January 1, 2009. After January 1st, the cost will be increased. Customers will be notified of the pick up time and place once those details are confirmed. Androscoggin Valley Soil and Water Conservation District is an equal opportunity employer and program provider. Androscoggin Valley Soil and Water Conservation District receives 17% of its operating budget from Androscoggin and Sagadahoc Counties and the Maine Department of Agriculture. The remaining 83% comes from grants, fundraising sales or charitable contributions from individuals, local businesses or organizations. Though we are not a government agency, we enjoy an in-kind relationship with the USDA/NRCS in that we receive building space in return for limited service to them. Donations are welcomed.
